Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant electrical engineering experience
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering (preferred)
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (required)
- Knowledge of local codes and standards (preferred)
- Experience with local contractors, architects, and construction practices (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of electrical and lighting system design for diverse building types
- Experience with medium-voltage distribution, generation, and protection systems (preferred)
- Must have SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling software experience.
- The focus of the experience must be in the power industry associated with electrical engineering and design of Industrial, higher education, healthcare, and/or commercial projects.
- Must be familiar with electrical/energy codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, NESC, IEEE, IESNA, IECC, etc.)
- Experience with lighting design (preferred)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and related design software (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on interdisciplinary teams
- Desire and capability to lead projects and coordinate across multiple disciplines
- Willingness to travel for occasional site visits
- Must be able to work in the office four(4) days a week.
