Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary advisor for high-net-worth individuals, multi-generational families, and family offices, delivering exceptional client service and fostering long-term relationships.
- Provide proactive, year-round tax planning and strategic consulting tailored to clients’ wealth preservation and financial goals.
- Communicate complex tax matters clearly and effectively, enabling informed decision-making.
- Manage client expectations and ensure timely, high-quality engagement delivery.
- Review and oversee complex federal and multi-state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, trusts, estates, and gift tax filings (Forms 1040, 1041, 1065, 709, and 706).
- Perform advanced tax research and stay current on federal, state, and local tax developments.
- Develop tax-efficient strategies, including estate and wealth transfer planning, to minimize liabilities and optimize outcomes.
- Represent clients during federal and state tax audits and manage related correspondence.
- Lead, mentor, and develop tax professionals while fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Manage engagement schedules, workflow, budgets, and deadlines.
- Support firm growth through business development and internal/external networking initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s in Taxation preferred.
- CPA designation required.
- 8+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience with strong expertise in high-net-worth and related entity taxation.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams, workflows, and client engagements.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with tax software such as GoSystem and other financial analysis tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
